A mans signet ring with pierced centrepiece engraved with the words 'Oglaigh na hEireann' in a circle surrounding the letters FF (Fianna Fail: Soldiers of Ireland|, the entire within a sunburst, similar to Irish Volunteers cap badge circa 1915,


The badge was designed in 1913 by Eoin MacNeill, a founding member and chairman of the Irish Volunteers. Variations existed for territorial commands, but the majority of volunteers wore the Óglaigh na hÉireann badge. ... Eventually the Free State Army adopted the badge for their new uniforms before the Irish Civil War. At Goldmark we have been selling this ring in both silver and gold for many years.
